Here we have some extreme exteriors,
from a tigers lair to a Burberry abode.
Zany, innovative and unusually painted cribs,
some professionally painted and others just
works of crazy but artistic DIY!

Rainbow Painted House350.jpg

The Rainbow Retreat: Each horizontal slat is covered with one of 30+ colours that combine to create the overall effect. Situated in San Francisco and named after a woman called Rainbow.

Tiger Painted350.jpg

Tigers Lair: One couple from Rochester in Kent, returned home from honeymoon to find their townhouse exterior turned into a display of tiger stripes courtesy of their friends. Unique wedding gift or what!

Rainbow Lava Painted House350.jpg

Another splash of rainbow: Colourfully painted house in Basel

Burberry Painted350.jpg

The Impressive Burberry House: Artist Jens Werner Andersen from Norway painted his house in a Burberry pattern. A former public lavatory building in Larvik became, as he describes- “a gathering place for happy people.”  He said he woke up one day and thought it would be a fun idea.

Black and White painted house350.jpg

Wonderful black and white: Painted illustrations of a stormy and ocean-swept landscape with looks of zebra stripes on the side of a house in Ladbroke Grove in London. Slightly reminds me of Hokusai art.

South Africa Painted House350.jpg

The beautiful Lesedi Cultural Village, South Africa.

blue-house350.jpg

The Blue House: An architect who painted his entire house and everything in it bright blue left his neighbours in Klagenfurt, Austria, very mad indeed! Arty Peter Kaschnig said he wanted to see the psychological effects of living surrounded by just one colour after the house was earlier rejected by Monopoly in the 1970's- just kidding :)

and last but not least-

Colourful Houses350.jpg

Some amazing examples from Mexico, Slovenia and Sydney, Australia. Unique and brightly coloured patterns that trace their cultural roots, traditions and styles. One can only wonder what all of these would look like inside!
